If you’re looking for the best wedding venues in Jacksonville, Florida, you’re in the right place! As a Jacksonville wedding photographer, I’ve put together a list of the top 10 venues in the area, ranging from waterfront, indoor, outdoor, and more. By the time you’re done reading, you’ll be ready to book the wedding venue of your dreams!

Brick and Beam

To start things off, let’s talk about one of my favorite wedding venues in Jacksonville, FL: Brick and Beam! I love this venue because of its open, rustic vibe and plenty of indoor/outdoor space for couples. Brick and Beam houses a total of 2300 square feet of brick walls and patchwork that showcase its rustic charm while still having modern accents throughout. When you host your wedding here, you get access to both the Main Room and the Back Porch so you’ll have plenty of room to party the night away with your people.

La Venture Grove

La Venture Grove is a historical home (and Citrus Grove!) that was originally built in the 1800s on the east side of the St. John’s River. Today, it still features the original siding, flooring, windows, and doors! If you’re looking for a historical yet beautiful wedding venue in Jacksonville, it’s hard to pass up La Venture Grove. You can get ready onsite with the two suites inside the home, and you can also take the reception outside to the pole barn-style pavilion. We’ll have the best time taking sunset portraits around the 6-acre property and 500+-year-old oak trees draped in Spanish moss that create the most perfect backdrop you can imagine!

Epping Forest

Adding another waterfront wedding venue to the list (because who doesn’t love the views?), we have Epping Forest. This is another space that was constructed quite some time ago (the 1920s) but Epping Forest was actually completely restored to the venue couples enjoy today. With both indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from, couples like you will have no problem finding a space that you love. Whether you want to host your wedding in The Grand Ballroom or The River Terrace & Garden, you and your guests will have a blast no matter what!

Clay Theatre

The Clay Theatre has been named the most iconic wedding venue in Jacksonville, and TBH, I don’t disagree. If you’re looking for a more unique setting for your big day, then this venue will definitely pique your interest! The Clay Theatre was once a historic movie theatre built in 1937 and has been transformed into a stunning and sophisticated space by a local husband and wife duo. Ever since the grand reopening in 2019, they’ve been hosting weddings nonstop! There are multiple renovated spaces inside the Clay Theatre, including the Main Space, the Courtyard, the Balcony Suite, the Backstage Suite, and the Lobby & Bar. The interior of the venue has an all-white “clean slate” vibe so you can create the perfect atmosphere that you’ve been dreaming up.

The Glass Factory

If you’re looking for modern industrial vibes, then The Glass Factory will be right up your alley! Located in Jacksonville’s historic and artistic district, you’ll find that there are plenty of things to do nearby and lots of accommodation options for out-of-town guests. This venue is pretty large, with a total guest count capacity of 250 people in The Main Event Space. If you’re hosting a more intimate wedding in Jacksonville, then you can take the party to The Courtyard where there’s slightly less space but equally as aesthetic. Whatever size event you’re hosting, The Glass Factory has you covered!

The Lark

Where “vintage meets vogue,” The Lark is a historic loft wedding venue located in Downtown Jacksonville. This space is a restored 1920s building with wrap-around windows overlooking the scenic James Weldon Johnson Park (which, by the way, is a great place to take wedding portraits). You get over 4,000 square feet of open space, 14-foot ceilings, exposed wooden beams, brick walls, and antique windows and floors. The bright and open floor plan leaves a ton of room for creativity and truly making this space your own. The Lark is also passionate about supporting the local Jacksonville art community by showcasing and promoting work by our artists!

The Treasury on the Plaza

When I say that this venue is majestic, just know that I’m not joking. The Treasury on the Plaza is a hidden gem in St. Augustine, FL located in their charming downtown historic district. In the 1920s, it was originally built and operated as a bank before undergoing warm-winning renovations more recently. It still has all of the elements of a classic Art Deco-era building such as the soaring ceilings and detailed historic architecture, but the spaces have been updated to incorporate more modern and elegant features. This venue has absolutely everything you need; getting-ready suites, an area for your first look & grand exit, a main ceremony & reception space, a bank vault-turned-reception bar, and even a gallery lounge for your cocktail hour.

Lightner Museum

Located near The Treasury, the Lightner Museum is another stunner in St. Augustine. The difference between the two is that the Museum is giving Spanish Renaissance Revival instead of Art Deco! This venue is actually inside the historic Alcazar Hotel which was built back in 1888. The building still features intricate details (like the ornate chandeliers) throughout the space, along with an entire inventory of furniture and decor for you to utilize on your wedding day. There are both indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from, including The Grand Ballroom (largest space), the Mezzanine Level (for more intimate weddings), and the Courtyard & Pool when you want to enjoy the outdoors.

Cumner Museum and Gardens

This place has it all and is like a dream come true for art lovers! The Cummer Museum is right in the heart of the historic Riverside neighborhood in Jacksonville, which is hands down one of the most beautiful areas in the city. It’s another waterfront venue, just like Epping Forest, but it has a completely different vibe. The museum is home to an amazing art collection that spans different eras and cultures, so if you and your partner are into that kind of thing, you’ll absolutely adore this place. And let me tell you, the 2.5 acres of perfectly manicured gardens are not to be missed. They’re filled with all kinds of plants, fountains, and sculptures, making them the perfect backdrop for stunning photos. You’ve got plenty of indoor and outdoor options to choose from here, but The River Garden Terrace is a total crowd-pleaser because of its breathtaking view of the river. With its various spaces, the museum can accommodate up to 300 guests!

Congaree and Penn

Last, but not least on our list of best wedding venues in Jacksonville, FL, we have Congaree and Penn. This is a farm and restaurant that doubles as a farm-to-table venue for couples wanting great scenery and even better food. The orchards, gardens, and architectural uniqueness of this venue are what truly sets it apart from other spaces in Jax. With acres on acres of space (which, you get exclusive access to),  you’ll feel totally private and secluded when you host your outdoor wedding at Congaree and Penn. And, if you’re having elopement instead of a larger wedding, they offer smaller packages to accommodate your needs!
