The Mitskys got married in style. The kind of style that’s classy as hell but also whimsical and magical. From the details to Alli’s dress to Vinny’s accessories to the decor & the florals to the bridesmaids dresses to the weather & the colors of the sunset. It was a decently overcast day with a few moments of the most beautiful blue sky. The wind was working her magic as well. Alli & Vinny got ready on different ends of The Heitman House property. They did their first look and read their vows hidden in this sweet little spot on the side of the house tucked away in the prettiest greenery. Tears were shed and these two are just so in love.
Their ceremony was gorgeous with overcast light, it looked like we were in heaven. The way Alli’s dress flowed in the wind actually made her look like an angel fluttering around. I am simply obsessed with everything about her. Even though they had seen each other during their first look, when Alli was making her way down the aisle, it was like Vinny was seeing her again for the very first time.
Before we all knew it the ceremony was coming to an end and Alli and Vinny were about to make their way back down the aisle but as husband & wife…FINALLY!! I think one of my favorite little moments of weddings is when the bride and groom have their first kiss and look out at their families for the first time as a married couple. It’s just such a proud and happy moment, like yea thats right, we did the damn thing!
After the ceremony we did a happy walk to the front of the venue where Vinny had an old red Chevy convertible waiting for us. We took the sweetest portraits of the newly wed Mitskys and even reenacted an image his grandparents took in the back of a car when they got married. This entire day felt so full circle. Every piece was so thought out and you could feel every ounce of joy in how the day unfolded.
After being introduced to the reception Alli & Vinny shared their first dance and like I said about previous moments of the day, it was just an angelic and beautiful moment between the two of them. As the sun started to set we snuck away to the dock on The Heitman property and took some sunset portraits. We played around with some blurry moments and they turned out beyond what you could imagine. After this, the sen had set & night came and it got pretty chilly.
Though it was borderline freezing, the reception was so fun and all the guests danced around three heaters in the middle of the dance floor. Truly couldn’t have seen the day & rest of the night being any other way. It was unique and sweet and a true celebration of The Mitskys!
