You’ll never guess where I was just jetting off to – Phoenix, Arizona! And lemme tell ya, it was for the wedding of the year with Kendra and Tito. Where do I even start with these two? They’re basically the dictionary definition of ‘chill vibes only,’ which became apparent to me when we totally hit it off during their engagement shoot. They totally trusted me to do my thang while they did theirs, and that’s when the most magic happens!
A Backstory That’s Straight Out of a Rom-Com
You won’t believe this, but Kendra and Tito have been in each other’s lives since they were just kiddos – 9 and 10 years old, to be exact. They kicked off their love story as teenagers, and let’s just say they’ve been #couplegoals ever since. They navigated high school and stepped into adulthood – all while being each other’s rock. How amazing is that? They described it best themselves: doing life with your best friend is just “the absolute best.” They’ve loved each other through so many versions of themselves, and it was so evident that they couldn’t imagine being with anyone else. Both kinda introverted but not shy about showing their love, Kendra and Tito have that low-key, deep-connection kind of love that we all secretly (or not-so-secretly) wish for. It was an honor to be there for such a special day!
Their Phoenix, AZ Wedding Venue: The Icehouse
First off, can we just talk about how freakin’ cool their venue was? The Icehouse in Phoenix is a total gem and completely on-brand for Kendra and Tito. They had an ice cream stand, a photo booth (shout out to PARCPHX!), and get this – a brick oven for pizza that went straight from the oven to the plates! And that dance floor? You can never go wrong with the checkerboard vibe. If you’re looking for a stylish venue for your Phoenix wedding, definitely check this one out! Their planner, Let’s Bash Events, did such an amazing job pulling everything together seamlessly.
Their Tear-Jerking Ceremony & Epic Reception
Kendra and Tito’s ceremony was so freakin sweet, I was tearing up behind my camera. They’ve been together since they were teens, and you could just feel the lifetime of love and friendship between them. And the vows? I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. Everyone was sniffling (and full-on crying) at how personal and heartfelt they were.
After their ceremony we took all of their portraits and then the party STARTED. The live band played some absolute bangers that got everybody (and I mean everybody) on their feet. You wouldn’t believe how Kendra was owning that dance floor – she was everywhere, having the time of her life! And don’t even get me started on the shot runs. Kendra and Tito made multiple shot runs throughout the night, and it was just one of the many fun, quirky moments that made the day so unique.
Anddddd I have to take a moment for Kendra’s dress – she looked like an actual angel. She was able to rock two different looks in one with the removable sleeves!!
As the night drew to a close, we got ready for the grand finale: the sparkler exit. But this wasn’t just any sparkler exit, okay? It was like a block-long carnival of lights, the longest I’ve ever shot for sure. Tbh, it was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
